Moving

We have the option to return to Apple Valley or emmigrate. Amata and I decided to immigrate. It's easier that way and the other international celebrities are doing the same thing. We're moving to Bottom Beach where we'll be off the rotation however we would still experience life as well.

School

I am now in high school with the other teens. My favorite class right now is kick boxing. Each day we focus on a different skill set until we have passed the skill exams with at least a 3. Then we can focus on one skill if we would like or even work on our badge exams. The badge exams are becoming more important since jobs in the hood are often based on badges. I don't know what badge I would like to persue, maybe cosmetology or even learn some massages and become a massuese.

I got a job at The Farmer's Market. I work on the register as a cashier and sometimes even restock items. It's ok for now, but I wished that I worked at The Peacock, that seems like a cool place to work.

I need to change my room, now that I'm a teen, the colors and photos are not right. I can't have sleepovers like this. Besides, my room is much too small, maybe mom and dad will let me move to the study and move the study in my room. I guess Crit could stay in the study/my room.

I wonder if I should get a job? Mom and dad haven't said that I have to, but I think it would be neat to work a little bit. I could work at the art gallery as a cashier, that would be fun or as a trainee with the hair salon.

Dad says I should throw a party. Maybe a sleepover party, but I don't have any friends. My friends are still children. Dad said make friends with the townies, but how? The Grey twins have been a little nice to me, I wonder if they would come to my sleepover? We could have snacks and watch movies and maybe mom could teach us how to fire dance.

New Yard

Ok, so Amata veto'd my plan to add a second story, but it's ok, I agree with her. We made a few changes inside the house, knocked some walls down, changed furniture arrangment and remodeled the kitchen. Now the house feels more spacious. Outside, we got rid of the garage and driveway, we were not using the car since the studio picks Amata up for work and some of the officers at the force have a carpool going. We had the florist woman, Jadhira, design a patio for us. There's a nice outdoor set, barbeque and flowers. We have had some shurbs added in the front.

Finally, I'm a teen! They guys at school think I'm cute, like my mom. Maybe I could be an actress like her as well. I don't know. I really don't know what I want to do with my life. Dad said don't worry about it-enjoy my teen years, make friends and have fun, but it's hard making friends. Not many teens in the hood. Grex goes to school with me, but he's almost an adult and he likes that Ginger girl. Her twin sister Marilyn is dating my neighbor, Tobi. Tobi's sister, Etta Leigh and her best friend, Hazel Starr, are snobby and don't talk to anyone, besides they're moving soon to persue thier careers. There's not many teens here at all.

Jarvis has lost his mind, I tell him about my desire to have a florist look at redoing our yard and then the next day he shows me some crazy plan to rebuild the entire house! We'd go from a one story 3 bedroom, 2 bath, one car garage home to a two story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, one garage home. Is he nuts! That would cost an arm and a leg to pay for! Which means a loan, which means more bills, which means less money! I'm not bringing in the best income. Even with my multiple projects. I got a nominal $1000 fee for the Faces of Apple Valley campaign (not bad for 30 min of work and free coffee), then I only get paid $1000 for each Places in the SUN show I film, I only get paid $1000 for each Cedar Pointe episode I appear in and then another $1000 for each photo for A. Pentrignani I appear in (about $8000 so far).

But I admit, I do like his plans.

Amata talked to the local florist about working with our yard. I'm not sure she can do anything honestly, especially with fall coming soon, Susi Luisa's toys in the yard and Crit running about crazidly (is that a word?). Besides our yard is small, unless we got rid of the garage (which we're not using) and use that as yard space. Heck, we could even get rid of the car and driveway as well and then we'll have much more yard space. Double heck, we're the only ones on Granny Smith with a one story home, we could add an addition, rearrange the lower level to include a garage and more yard space and basically take a smaller footprint!

I've been praticing my fire-dancing skills. You never know when there might be an audition for a fire-dancing sim. Ceder Pointe is going well, I haven't had any on-air time, but it's coming soon, have no fear. Haven't had a Places in the SUN show recently, but they're usually once a quarter anyhow-Mystic Hills hasn't aired yet, thankfully some of my shots for A.Pentrignani will appear soon.

Time is Moving Slowly

It seems like time is moving so slowly with work and life. I've been working out and talking with a neighborhood boy about his desire to join the law enforcement career and run the new jail. Still haven't decided where we're moving-if we'll move or simply move into the special international celebrity holding station. We'll be taken off of rotation but still around the hood.

I signed a contract with A.Pentrigani to model! Yea, so now I have a few more simoleans coming in and my face will be around a bit more...I hope. We're starting with the wedding collection and then I am to be available for other things that the fashion house may see fit. I hope I do well.

New Ad Campaign

So I signed a new AD campaign called Faces of Apple Valley. They're shooting publicity shots for the tourism department to use. I am going to do a few shots at the botanical gardens...I wonder if I will make it in a calendar one day? Filming is going well, Cedar Pointe is keeping me busy as with Mystic Hills and Places in the SUN. I have plenty of contracts, but it still seems like my career is at a standstill, unlike Tatiana and Claudia and those other women :\

Vacation

To celebrate my new role with Ceder Pointe Jarvis and I decided to take a vacation to Twikkii Island. It was very relaxing, we toured the sights and swam and ate great food. I am now ready for anything! As you can see, my hair is longer and I might have to cut it if I want to continue wearing the wig for Places in the SUN. O, can you see my tan?

Family Time

I am glad that Amata agreed to the vacation before starting her new series. Susi Lusia sees so little of her as it is and to have her participate in two series and a mini-series. I'm afraid that she'll miss out on Susi Lusia's childhood. Speaking of Susi Lusia, she is getting so big. She starts the sixth grade this year and she's every bit as beautiful as her mother. She really enjoyed the vacation, she was able to get a new outfit and hairstyle before hand and all she wanted to do was swim, build sandcastles or dig for seas shells. She learned the hulu and even started singing some pirate song that she insisted a ghost taught her. Silly girl.

I got a part!!! I am signed for a soap opera called Cedar Point playing Daphne Beaumont. Daphne seems different from my other roles as sweet cop and bitter ex-girlfriend. A bit naive though if you ask me. I can't wait!! Filming starts next week and I am so excited! I don't know what's going on with the mini-series Mystic Hills, but I continue to commute there each week in the hopes that someday you'll see my face on the international screen. Places in the SUN is kind of a stand-still, not sure when the next episode will be. I told the producer that we would be interested in moving to the studio town if necessary-so we'll see what happens. Yay! Hopefully my career will take off.

Jail

I agreed to be the jailor until they find another resident to fill the position-there's this one kid, Tobi Sweeny, that seems very interested in law enforcement. I will invest more in him-he doesn't want to go to uni to get a degree, he simply wants to start working right away fighting crime. Well, once he's settled and Susi Luisa is off in university, Amata and I plan on moving. Amata wants to focus more on her career, which is hard to do with her commutes for the Places in the SUN series and her work on the mini-series filmed in Palatial Heights. We'll see what happens.

Susi Luisa will soon be a teen, Amata wants to buy her a car, but so many teens have car accidents due to lack of proper training. I need to begin teaching her how to drive, why isn't there some sort of test to get a license to drive? I need to ask the hood council.

I love him, but that dog is so dumb, takes him forever to learn commands and I don't have much free time in bewteen filming this mini-series. I think as soon as Susi Lusia is in university, I will move back to Simborough...maybe Palatial Heights even.

daughter & big city

Susi Luisa talks about the big cities she sees on television, how her mommy gets to travel to the big city every week for work and how one day she wants to go to a big city. Such a darling little girl.

We expect to make an arrest this simday on the Dawson murder case. It's a shame really, but we must do what we need to do. Of course the case will go to trial, even if we get a confession, which I doubt will happen.

has blown wide open. The newspaper printed an article about the investigation, some of the facts were right...others not so much. We are close to making an arrest, hopefully this next simday. I don't want a murder lose in the hood.

Worry

I worry about Amata's commuting to work, that's a lot of distance she has to travel each week, but she loves her new job. I can't wait to see her on tv, she's been pretty mum about the plot. I recieved a tip that the Dawson death wasn't accidental. Tell me something I didn't know. The officers at the force think it's unusual that he went outside in the snow in his undies and left the key, very unusual. O, the hood council is reviewing my proposal for a jail. If approved the family will move into the upper apartment and a jail will be below. We need more enforcement besides fines.

Work is going well-commuting to the set isn't so bad anymore and I'm getting used to only have weekends with the family. I'm trying to teach Crit how to shake hands, obviously it's not working, he's a dufus of a dog ^_^

The Food Expo is coming up soon, Susi Lusia wants to enter the lemonade contest even though she's never made lemonade in her life, Jarvis wants to enter the fishing contest. I suppose I should just go along with things.

Work and Rest

Work is going well, I'm home on the weekends to rest and spend time with the family. I had to turn down the offer to be the face of Apple Valley News. Good thing too since the broadcast station is having trouble creating custom broadcasts. Palatial Heights is a very nice place, very nice...makes me consider moving there...I wonder would Jarvis like it? I like Simborough while I was there filming and they're producing a new film now...I miss working with the sims there. I wonder how they are doing?

My little sunshine, Susi Luisa. She's a bundle of joy indeed. I love my little girl. Amata and I are not going to try for another baby, she's far too busy with her career now and it would be too hard for me to raise more children alone while she's commuting from set to set.

Looking Up

Things are looking up. I got my paycheck from the latest episode of "Places in the SUN". I visited Eden this time. Nice place, full of history. That's one of the perks of the job I love-the travel to other places.

My stint with the soap opera will start in June. Jarvis and I have been discussing the possibility of having another child. If we decided to do so, we would need to do so now before I leave. Thank goodness I can commute back and forth from Palatial Heights to Apple Valley.

A Job!

I got an offer to play a role in a new soap-can't say too much right now. I report to work June 30th. It's $500 an episode and I only am contracted for the first season, but who knows ^_^ at least it's work.

It's been a bit chilly, the strangest thing happened. Jarvis and I were enjoying the early morning dew and we saw a penguin! A penguin! Wonder what it's doing in this part of Apple Valley. It even let Jarvis pet it. Amazing!

Something Strange

Something strange is going on with Amata-she's always jumpy. She'll start a task and then stop in the middle of it and I sometimes find her standing in the hallway at a lost. I heard of a similar condition, it has a funny name-the jump bug. I wonder if she has it. I wonder where she got it from? This house? I guess we should keep an eye out on things. I would hate to have to visit the CAS clinic again.

Auditions

Still haven't done another "Places in the SUN" episode and the account is running low and Susi Lusia is only getting bigger, plus Jarvis wants another kid, a boy. Who's to say that we'll have a son next. *sigh* It's not like my career would suffer if we had another child, especially since I don't have much of a career :\ however, our bank account would suffer. Jarvis has a steady job with the police force, but we need more money.

Considering auditioning for the new series, Mystic Hills 4698, but I don't know if I would need to relocate to Palatial Heights permentantly. Also, there are auditions for the local news programming. I could possibly be the face of Apple Valley News 5 and even shot the promotional video for Apple Valley tourism.

How is it that some sims get the lucky breaks-the hit TV series and movies, while other sims struggle with finding work. *sigh*

Work is slow. I've only done one show of Places in the SUN and since I don't get paid for downtime, the funds are running low. Jarvis was considering quitting his post with the SC Police Force, but will stay on a bit longer. There is news that Pennelson Productions will be creating local television programming. Perhaps I could get a show, maybe a news presenter, maybe I could do some local reporting. I hope I do another show soon.
